Increasing numbers of people are choosing to set off on their own, looking to to discover new places, set their own pace, and recharge without compromise.
To inspire your next solo trip, TUI Musement analysed the reviews of activities booked by solo travellers*. Based on these, we created a ranking of the best destinations for solo travellers. From lively cities to peaceful islands, these are places where it’s easy to get around, enjoy plenty of experiences, and — only if you feel like it — socialise with others.

This northern English city is known for its creative atmosphere, lively pubs, and incredibly rich cultural scene. During the day you can admire its architecture and stop in cosy cafés, while in the evening you can explore the many live‑music venues where conversations spark effortlessly.

Thanks to its efficient public transport system, exploring London on your own is easy. You can move quickly between major attractions and different neighbourhoods. Pub tours are also a fun way to experience the city and meet other travellers.
